Sunday is my day of repose. It normally starts with a quick prayer; a walk with my dog (and more prayer & meditation); and breakfast. Today’s brunch was a great creation: potatoes sauteed with sazon and fresh basil, turkey scrapple, an egg, and pink lady apple wedges. All of it prepared with patience and savored with appreciation.
I’ve prepared similar meals in haste and didn’t enjoy the results -what appeared to be akin to black-and-white still shots (instead of colored palates), cajun corners, and smokey atmospheres. Thankfully, I’m learning the art and usefulness of patience.
The lesson: patience and diligence proves worthy. Good things are worth the wait.
